I'm writing in reference to Agenda Item 9B, the memo regarding the Valley Link Transmission Line.
I'm dismayed at the tone of resignation in this letter, suggesting that this project is an inevitability. I'll list some examples below.
It would seem that this project is not in line with the principles laid out in the Comprehensive Plan for the county.
I would rather see the BOS adopt a much tougher stance, aimed at killing this project entirely.
I refer to language in the memo such as 'Hundreds if not thousands of property owners will be directly affected and the project will significantly impact every citizen of Frederick County. '
Another example is 'as the project moves forward'.
