I oppose the removal of the 4th High School as our schools are overcrowded by at 15% or more. With our struggle to get teachers and the fact that Frederick County has been the fastest growing county in Virginia, plus, over the next 20 years our population is projected to grow 30%, how can we not need another high school. Charter schools will not mitigate the need for the additional high school. Consider that you will still have to fund the building of charter schools, so where will that money come from. The money for the construction has already been appropriated and when it is built, I hope that the design and construction will be similar to the Frederick County Middle School in terms of low maintenance for the long term in energy usage and materials used.
