I am Staci Coffey, Red Bud District.
I am opposed to the proposed breeding facility on Brucetown Rd. There is nothing more sad and disturbing besides human trafficking and child abuse, than the outright and purposeful abuse of an animal, for human greed. This has all the makings of a Puppy Mill, and I am oppalled that this is even being considered in our County. This has so many environmental red flags and hazards as well. Local shelters and rescues are full beyond capacity as it is. Euthanasia percentages are at the highest point currently, these animals have no voice, they are forced to do what the we want them to do. The only voice they have is the sound of suffering, that their neighbors will have to hear on a daily basis, no matter how far down the property it goes.
This proposed amount of dogs is only going to grow. This community should push against this in every way, there is nothing good to come out of this situation of sick, and overpopulated dogs. Only to line the pockets of people who should have the common sense to know better.

Stonewall Magesterial District, concerning the property in question 1600 Bruce Town rd.
I am opposed to this kind of facility/buisness being built in our rural agricultural community.
As it is, I can hear the barking dogs and crowing roosters on the proposed property from my home at all hours.
They want to get a lean-to for breeding and put it down a hill in the back of the property by slate run, because they themselves want it far from their home, It's loud and dirty.
They mentioned in the first hearing that they plan to remove the waste once per week, that is unacceptable, considering they have one hundred animals of all different species at this point in time, and want to add more, That is minimum 700+ piles of excrement a week.
Has a veterinarian or other animal specialist been to this property? This isn't about what's best for the owners pockets, it should be about what's best for the animals they claim to care for and the district we live in.
I do not think that animals living in kennels being breed over and over are socialized or cared for properly, the amount of suffering inflicted in these kinds of facilities on innocent animals is unimaginable to the average citizen.
Every dog deserves to be in a home, socialized around a family and loved,
not just the offspring of the parent dogs.
Many have spoken out and have voiced concerns and disapproval, yet the property owners still want to continue, not considering the community around them.
I personally have worked in animal shelters and veterinary clinics and can tell you that this is not an ideal situation and will lead to unwanted animals in our community.
What are the credentials of the property owners? What back ground do they have managing a kennel environment, do they know the effects kenneling has on animals long term? do they know about environmental cleaning and disinfecting protocols? Disease prevention? Where will the cleaning chemicals and waste end up?
    Please deny this facility.

14a - My name is Denise Wise and I am a resident in the Back Creek district. I’m speaking out again on your consideration of this “kennel” that has all the makings of a puppy mill. From an original request for 100 or 150 dogs now down to 50 shows what this kennel will turn into. She moved here from Loudoun County to start this kennel. If you follow the protocols to breed to improve the breed you could never afford to have this amount of dogs. If approved you can almost guarantee over time the number of dogs will continue to grow. No one will be paying attention to what she is doing. You approved one kennel at the last meeting that at least appears to be somewhat concerned with the health and welfare of the dogs in her care. This proposal does not show the same. This has future puppy mill all over it. As the mom to two puppy mill rescues currently, I see what happens to these dogs both mentally and physically. Approving this request is condoning the worst on the poor pups who will be forced to live there. Let’s not turn our county into another Lancaster Pa (the puppy mill capital) by continuing to approve these facilities.
