I am wondering what the owner of this 400+ acre property plans to do with the rest of the acreage if he is only using 25 acres for 90 cabin sites. That leaves approximately 375 acres that could be built on, and that could substantially impact the way of life for the people whose property adjoins the
proposed site. I don’t want to be suspicious but I am-25 acres for 90 cabins-I fear there is another use for the remaining 375 of which we are unaware.
I would like more information on how much water they’re going to take in the Wells that they’re digging for these 90 cabin sites. My property, adjoins Getaways, and I have a well-it is my only source for water. I worry about water quality with 90 canins drawing from same aquifer, and if the other 375 acres are built on in the future what will that do to everyone around this property who have wells.
    Thank you,

I am opposed to this issue. Our Town is currently growing at a astronomical rate, that means more citizens and more vehicles travelling in our Town. Middletown already has Dump Trucks running daily thru our Town, we do not need 250 more Dump trucks running thru our Town. It not only poses a Safety Threat to our citizens because our citizens walk up and down our Main St. (Rte. 11) our children ride bikes and play on our sidewalks. It also poses a threat to our infrastructure, when Frederick County makes this decision to move the mining to Middletown are you also willing to help us financially to rebuild our infrastructure? Are you willing to put the money up front? Is it fair for a small Town to bear the burden of your decision? I believe when Frederick County issued the Permits to build around Carmeuse, they were fully aware of the mining operation currently happening before building took place. I understand your citizens are concerned about their groundwater, in all these years it hasn't affected the groundwater, why would it start now? Its all of a sudden a eyesore, but when those houses were built and purchased it wasn't a eye sore. Please vote yes to allow Carmeuse to continue their mining operation in Clear Brook where it has subsided the whole time.

We are very concerned about the impact this will bring to our local groundwater which supplies our springs, streams, creeks, and wells. We have natural spring fed pond on our property that could be affected by the expansion of this quarry. Our wells could dry up also. The quarry is an eye sore to our community on Rt 11 and I don’t want to see the rest of our community and beautiful land that we have to be ruined by this expansion. Please vote not to let them do this to the rest of Clear Brook.
