I admire most folks who are determined to become a successful business owner but as a responsible dog owner who took a great deal of time looking for a caring and responsible breeder for the breed we were interested in, I have concerns about the care and protection of these animals. We chose a breeder whose love, compassion and accountability for her pups were incredible. Her pups were born into a loving environment within the breeder’s home and spent time with her family, including small children through adult ages, before being CAREFULLY placed into good loving homes. I have to question the ability of the owners and staff to give the time, love and attention their momma dogs and pups need. Fifty dogs is a LOT of dogs and then 2 litters per month considering puppies are not released to their new owners until 8 weeks of age?! I am concerned about the quality of care, strengths of the breeding lines, health guarantees, risks of cross breeding and ability to love on each of these pups until they are placed into responsible and loving homes. Sounds like you have some big FINANCIAL goals. You may not consider yourselves a puppy mill, but it certainly appears to be just that.

    I live in Frederick County,
I would say i’m glad to see a responsible breeder come to this county. Most of the dogs that end up in shelters have been mostly purchased at Puppy Mills & BackYard Breeders. I’m very pleased to know that families that are serious about getting a dog as a lifetime companion will be able to go to a facility that will be supervised and ruled by County Laws.

I am no longer a resident of Frederick County but I do live in the City of Winchester. My husband and I built Aberdeen Acres in 1989. At that time we put in an engineered septic system to handle the dog waste. We were a boarding kennel and after our expansion in 1991 we boarded around 1000 pet's per year. I see everyday animal shelters begging for fosters and adopters as the shelters and resuces are busting at the seams. Frederick County DOES NOT NEED ANOTHER BREEDING KENNEL.
