8.B) Vice Chairman Dunn Requests Endorsement of the Draft Letter to the General Assembly Delegation    Mr. Dunn proposes sending the attached letter encouraging the General Assembly to support any legislation that changes the law to require that any person registering to vote meet the same standards as required for a US passport i.e. require proof of US citizenship.

9.A) Board of Equalization 3-year term of Betsy Brumback expires 12/31/2023 3-year term of Scott Strosnider expires 12/31/2023 These members are eligible for reappointment.   Note: The Board makes a recommendation to the Judge of the Circuit Court who in turn makes the appointment(s).

9.B) Juvenile Detention Center Commission 4-year term of Robert T. Williamson expires 12/31/2023 4-year term of Jay E. Tibbs (Alternate) expires 12/31/2023 As Mr. Williamson does not wish to serve again, Chairman DeHaven has nominated Supervisor Wells to serve as the Board liaison. Mr. Tibbs is willing to continue as the Alternate.

10) Committee Business - Finance Committee

10.A) The DSS Administrative Services Manager requests a General Fund supplemental appropriation in the amount of $2,940. This amount represents funds from the sale of a pool vehicle and will be used toward a replacement vehicle.  No local funds required. The committee recommends approval.

10.B) The Director of Elections requests a General Fund supplemental appropriation in the amount of 13,648. This amount represents salary and fringes for a part-time Deputy Registrar for the remainder of the fiscal year.  Local funds are required. The committee recommends approval.

10.C) The Director of Elections requests a General Fund supplemental appropriation in the amount of $83,765. This amount represents funds needed to hold the March 2024 Presidential primary election.  Local funds are required. The committee recommends approval.

10.E) The Zoning Administrator requests a Transportation Fund supplemental appropriation in the amount of $330,000 and a General Fund supplemental appropriation in the amount of $258,175 (local portion). These amounts represent funds needed for the completion of Eyles Lane in the Oaks at Braddock Crossing subdivision due to a shortfall of the LOC posted by the developer.  Local funds are required. The committee recommends approval.
