I live in Back Creek. I have been involved in swimming at all three levels in the are, USA, high school and summer leagues. We have needed more recreation in the area for decades, and our facilities are sadly outdated. I seriously hope the Board will support the 2 for 2 foundation to provide the funding needed for such great facilities and prevent raising taxes with this public private partnership. Thank you.
Come on Frederick County! Let’s truly be the Top of Virginia. I support the 2 for 2 Foundation’s mission to increase recreational facilities in our area. This is a beautiful place to live and a great location to raise a family, but with all the recent growth we really need the Board of Supervisors’ help to make this project happen. I am a resident of the Opequen district. I am writing to support the Board forming a partnership with the 2 for 2 foundation to develop a much needed aquatics and ice rink facility. As I have lived here all my life, swam four years in high school, coach in the Shenandoah Valley Summer Swim League, and currently coach for Valley Swim Team Phoenix I fully support a partnership to help the swimming and ice skating community. As a coach I have visited all of the facilities in our area and none are up to par with surrounding counties. Imagine having a community that encourages their children to learn how to swim which is a life skill by the way. You are helping the people of our community learn a LIFE LONG skill that is necessary to their well being. The BOS has stated several times that they want a public private partnership. Well, it sounds like the 2 for 2 foundation fits the bill. Please vote in favor of partnering. The individuals of this community deserve to learn how to swim and skate in a fantastic facility.

I am writing to ask the Board to support the 2 for 2 foundation so that all the families in Frederick county can have great recreation opportunities. I also teach swimming and am a life guard and this will provide jobs and prevent drowning! The foundation is a great opportunity for the county to provide world class recreation without raising taxes! Please support the 2 for 2
I support the 2 for 2 to bring an aquatic center and Ice skating rink to Frederick county. It’s the least this county could do to bring some family fun things to our area….. there’s nothing to offer here.

This is a once in a life time opportunity for kids and aduts to bring a skating ring to our area for the winter and great attraction for visitors also; much needed place for your hundreds of kids who swim and can not wait to have a olympic size pool to compete with norther va kids and not feel left out

I live in the Red Bud district and am interested in teaching in the area in the coming years. The 2 for 2 foundation proposal would provide a much needed facility to the area and prevent citizens and athletes from the area from needing to travel to other areas that provide such services and facilities. This would be great for business, it would properly accommodate the growth we’ve seen and will continue to see in this area, and will provide a much needed facility for practice and meets for our kids and local schools. An aquatics facility has been a need for this community for a long time and as the parent of a swimmer I know how much it would be used by not just our teams but also by others who enjoy swimming.
