I support a partnership being created with the Board and the 2 plus 2 Foundation to build a new ice rink and aquatic center. Our community needs activities to entice and encourage young families to establish roots here or to continue to remain in the area. A new aquatic center would benefit not only fitness and recreation but increase the ability to teach life saving water safety skills to citizens of all ages.
We are definitely in favor of the ice skating and aquatic center complex. Our daughter started swimming with the Winchester Swim Team when she was in first grade. She is now a senior in high school and will continue swimming in college next year! She couldn't have done this without an indoor facility, but, after traveling to many other places, we know how important an aquatic center would be for the community. Thank you for your support of the 2 For 2 Foundation!

I am writing to voice my support of the board of supervisors partnership with the 2 for 2 Foundation to make an ice skating rink and aquatic center possible for future generations. Thank you for your consideration of this project and hearing the solutions that the 2 for 2 Foundation is presenting for the centers for recreation and athletics.

This much needed project needed a group of volunteers such as the 2 for 2 foundation to finally help fill a large void in our community. Thank you for your time and willingness to talk to the foundation because we support the solutions that they are presenting for the centers for recreation and athletics.
I would like the Board of Supervisor to review the recent applicant that was recently accepted as a member of the Shawneeland Advisory Committee, Rhonda Sargent, while she is a member of the community I believe that her involvement with Public Works based on her past employment with the county in that department and personal relationships with sitting members of the Public Works department creates a conflict of interest, I believe that she does not have the communities best interest at heart, I am requesting that she recuse herself from the SSDAC or the BOS should disqualify her from her position on the SSDAC, in the last meeting in Nov. she made it apparent that she has no interest sitting on any sub-committees for the SSDAC; I am also requesting per my letter to all BOS members that the Shawneeland Manager and crew be audited for their work performance, especially the managers quality of work, work execution and ability to take ownership with the recent road repairs within the community this year, as it is budgeted for the manger to receive another raise to his salary in a series of several over the past few years with little to no improvement
It would be ideal for the board of supervisors to address recent events where a board member Shawm Graber made false accusations against a frederick county sheriff deputy, statements that must have been made before he realized the deputy was wearing a body camera which was later reviewed and revealed that Graber had fabricated his claims that the officer had unlawfully instructed him to stop taking pictures at the Senseny road polling location.
