We need swim and skate facilities in our community for so many reasons and if the county is not willing to fund these projects then partner with those who will get the job done.
I fully support the board of supervisors partnering with the 2 for 2 Foundation to create an aquatic and ice skating center. We have been in need of an aquatic center for quite a while. Both of my children were on their high school swim team several years ago and pool time was hard to come by and late in the day. A facility such as the one proposed will provide great opportunities for our athletes as well as those seeking recreation. It is a great time to have a vision of our area for now and the future, as we continue to grow. Thank you to the Board for their thoughtful consideration.

It's a no brainer. Good for everyone and the community. We have enough size and population to expect an Aquatic Center and Ice Skating Rink for our kids in Winchester without having to drive elsewhere.

I definitely support the partnership with the 2 for 2 Foundation and the board, in the creation of an ice rink and aquatic center for the community and children! This would be exceptional, as the closest options for ice skating/hockey are Hagerstown and Loudon County. As a parent of two, whom love ice skating, I would much rather be a part of a community that’s closer to home.
There has never been a better time for the community to come together and show support for the 2 for 2 Foundation. I support them and all their efforts to bring an ice rink and more importantly an aquatic center the Frederick County/Winchester area. My son is a swimmer and the need for a bigger, better and safer aquatic center is desperately needed. These two new facilities will benefit several generations and provide the community with a variety of programs. Thank you for your support!!
