I fully support the board partnering with the 2 for 2 foundation to make an aquatic center possible for current and future generations. As a parent of children who participate in swim activities, it is a challenge to have to drive out of the county several times per week for practices. As my children get older I would be challenged to get them to another county for daily morning swim practices. Furthermore, other individuals in the community would benefit from an aquatic center. I currently pay excessive amounts of money for an entire gym membership just to swim because the other local facility does not have sufficient capacity for our area. Other individuals in the community would benefit as well. An aquatic center would provide a facility to allow Special Olympics activities, swim lessons for children and adults, and classes for adult activities without the cost of an entire gym membership. If organized well, an aquatic center could serve as a major asset for the community.
As a resident of Frederick County and having my second child come through the county school, I am fully in support of building an aquatics center. Our students are forced to practice in other pools and having to travel to do so. Some of our students do not drive. Others are forced to drive out of their way simply to participate in their sport. Why is it that our students always have to fight to have better? There are new structures constantly going up. Roads being worked on and I have yet to see where it improves anything for anyone. Our students are worth the tax dollars constantly being spent. It took years to get a new middle school. It shouldn’t take years to give them their own facility to practice in. As parents we put an excessive amount of effort into our children. We expect those who work for our children’s benefit to do the same.
I fully support the board of sup partnering with the 2 for 2 foundation to make an aquatic center possible for current and future generations. My husband and I have 6 kids together that live in Frederick county and we know that chances are at least one will benefit from a new aquatic facility! Thank you for your support of this organization and awesome cause.
As a resident of Frederick County, I fully support the board of supervisors partnering with the 2 for 2 foundation to make an aquatic center possible for current and future generations. My daughters are swimming year round and we would love to have this facility close by. It would benefit our town in so many ways! Thank you for your support of this organization and great cause!
I fully support and encourage the partnership with the 2 for 2 foundation and the construction of an aquatics center. Quality sports facilities and the associated opportunities for developing athletes would benefit the region for generations. The events held at this proposed facility will generate revenue for the community and surrounding businesses.
I fully support this partnership and feel an aquatics facility and skate rink would benefit our community in so many ways. As a swim parent, I would love this for my daughter and her teammates. This type of facility could benefit our growing community for all ages.
I wholeheartedly support the partnership. The community has been waiting for too long for an aquatic center. It’s time to renew, refresh and reunite after a tough couple of years. Respectfully submitted!!!
I fully support and ask for the Frederick County Board of Supervisors to partner with the 2 For 2 Foundation to pursue a much needed addition to our community. The aquatics facility is a great opportunity to enrich the lives of local residents, invest in our young people, and generate revenue for the local economy.
I fully support the partnership of the 2 for 2 Foundation to build a much needed aquatics center. Our growing area could definitely support this and it would be an incredible benefit to our community.
I support Frederick County’s partnership with the 2 for 2 foundation to find creative solutions to funding for a desperately needed aquatics facility for the citizens of Frederick County. Aquatics facilities offer an opportunity for citizens to engage in physical activity in a safe area, which promotes a healthy community, can help decrease the risk for obesity among community members and could decrease overall healthcare costs, as obesity is a major risk factor for many diseases including diabetes, some cancers, stroke, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Furthermore, an aquatics faculty would help promote social community and provide access to recreation, facilitating two major social determinants of health which are part of the goals for Healthy People 2030.
I fully support the Frederick County Board of Supervisors in partnering with Two for Two Foundation. This aquatics facility and skate rink has the potential to bring in much needed tax revenue via Sports Tourism.

I fully support the Board of Supervisors partnering with the 2 for 2 Foundation to make the ice skating and aquatic centers possible for our community. This has been needed for so many years and will be beneficial to the entire community. Thank you for your support of this organization and great cause.
My son plays ice hockey and we have to travel at least an hour in any direction for him to play. It would be nice to have a rink close to home. There are so many kids that would love to have ice skating so we don't have to spend the day in the city to do so. I'm sure that the city would like some of the revenue some of these hockey tournaments will bring from out of city or state folks who come to play.
